West Lothian ‘LOCAL HERO’ Meets the King and Queen

On Saturday 28th of September, Their Majesties The King and The Queen attended a special celebration at the Scottish Parliament to mark the 25th anniversary since the Scottish Parliament reconvened.

As part of the these celebrations, MSP Angela Constance nominated Caledonian Credit Union Chairperson, Nancy MacGillivray as our very own "LOCAL HERO" for West Lothian.

This is the second time Nancy has been nomination as a local hero for West Lothian. She said " I am honoured to have been invited and been able to attend the event on Saturday 28^th September 2024 celebrating 25 years of devolved government in Scotland as a ‘local hero’. However, I view this as an honour to represent Caledonian Credit Union and the work carried out by a great team of volunteer directors, staff and other volunteers, particularly as we near 26 years of operation and having recently celebrated moving into the Scottish Borders in addition to West Lothian. We thank Ms Angela Constance MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs for her support since 1998 when she was local councillor. "
